About Vieux Carré
Rye whiskey, cognac, sweet vermouth, Benedictine, and bitters. Invented by Walter Bergeron at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. Named after the French Quarter, meaning Old Square. Complex layered flavors from multiple spirits. The Benedictine adds honey-herbal sweetness.
