About Shochu
Japanese distilled spirit made from barley, sweet potato, or rice. Typically 25% ABV. Older and more traditional than sake. The sweet potato imo shochu is the most distinctive. Can be served neat, on ice, with hot water, or with soda. Over 300 distilleries in Kyushu.
