About Poitn

Traditional Irish moonshine, also called poteen. Made from potatoes, grain, or sugar beet. Was illegal in Ireland from 1661 to 1997. The name comes from pota, meaning pot, referring to the small pot still. Now legally produced and experiencing a craft revival. Typically 40-90% ABV. The Irish equivalent of American moonshine.
