About Irish Coffee
Invented by chef Joe Sheridan at Foynes airbase for cold, delayed passengers. Hot coffee, Irish whiskey, brown sugar, and cream floated on top. The cream must be poured over the back of a spoon to float. Introduced to America at the Buena Vista Cafe in San Francisco. They sell up to 2,000 per day.
