About Gluehwein
German mulled wine with cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and citrus. Served at Christmas markets from November through December. The tradition dates to the Romans. Over 50 million liters consumed annually during German Christmas season. Sometimes spiked with rum or amaretto for extra warmth. The smell defines German winter.
