About French 75
Gin, lemon juice, sugar, and champagne. Named after the French 75mm field gun of WWI, said to have the same kick. Attributed to Harry MacElhone at Harrys New York Bar in Paris. Some recipes use cognac instead of gin. The champagne adds effervescence and celebration.
