About Daiquiri
Named after a beach near Santiago de Cuba. Jennings Cox, an American engineer, supposedly invented it when he ran out of gin. Simple: white rum, lime juice, and sugar. Hemingway had his own version with grapefruit and maraschino. The frozen version was invented in the 1930s.
