About Armagnac
The oldest brandy in France, predating Cognac by over 200 years. Single-distilled in an alambic Armagnacais still, giving more character than double-distilled Cognac. Produced in Gascony in southwest France. Three sub-regions: Bas-Armagnac, Tenareze, and Haut-Armagnac. Over 10 grape varieties are permitted. Aged in local black oak.
