About Yerba Mate
The national drink of Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. Sipped through a metal bombilla straw from a gourd. Contains caffeine but with a smoother effect than coffee. The Guarani people cultivated it for centuries. Sharing a mate gourd is a social ritual. Argentina consumes 6 kg per person per year.
