A scoop of vanilla gelato drowned with a shot of hot espresso. The name means drowned in Italian. Served in a small glass or bowl. The contrast of hot and cold, bitter and sweet. Sometimes amaretto or hazelnut liqueur is added. The most elegant two-ingredient dessert.
